The Paul Mitchell® brand can be traced back to 1980 (coincidentally the same year that the Matrix line started.  Something in the start that year?) when John Paul DeJoria and Paul Mitchell went into partnership with a loan of $700.  Since then their business has flourished and grown into a company that produces over ninety haircare products the brands Paul Mitchell, Modern Elixirs™, The Tea Tree Collection, Paul Mitchell LAB™, Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color.

Today, their products are in salons all over America and in seventy-five countries worldwide.
